Over the past 6 years John has grown the John Maxwell Team to over 20,000 certified members who are working with companies and countries around the world to bring John's proven leadership principles and methods to hundreds of thousands of organizational leaders and their internal leadership teams. In addition to being a certified member of the John Maxwell Team, I personally have over 50 years of leadership experience in several industry sectors with most of my experience being in the dynamic healthcare administration field. It seems that everywhere we turn recently, everyone is publishing lots of articles about how important leadership is to the success of an organization. As a Certified member of the John Maxwell Team I have access to a wealth of knowledge from one of the world’s foremost experts on leadership development – John Maxwell. He has written 100 books on the subject and sold over 30 million. I confess that I haven’t read anywhere close to his 100 books but I have read at least several dozens of them and learned lots more though Maxwell training and workshop materials. In addition to John Maxwell, there are scores of other respected authors and speakers on the subject of leadership development who have their own books and programs. In my years of experience in leadership, I have found that too much information can be overwhelming and sometimes leaves folks being confused about where to start on their personal leadership journey. At Triad, we have narrowed our focus to five key elements that are fundamental to leadership success. Over the next several blogs, I will outline each of these key elements and why we believe they are the foundational building blocks for leadership success. The five elements include personal growth, effective communications, influencing others, developing personal leadership skills and developing leaders around you.
